Junjou Romantica

Junjou Romantica (純情ロマンチカ/ピュア ロマンス"Pure-Hearted Romantica"),is a yaoi series by Shungiku Nakamura. It focuses on three storylines; the main couple,Usami Akihiko and Misaki Takahashi which comprises the bulk of the books, and two other male couples,Hiroki Kamijo and Nowaki Kusama on Junjou Egoist and Yo Miyagi and Shinobu Takatsuki on Junjou Terrorist.

There are currently two seasons released. Each season has 12 episodes and runs for about 25 minutes.

Main Couple (Junjou Romantica):

Usami Akihiko-  is a 28-year-old popular author of fiction and erotic BL (Boys' Love) novels, and the youngest recipient of the distinguished Naomori Award. His nickname is "Usagi", which means "rabbit" in Japanese.

Misaki Takahashi-  is the 18-year-old (19 in episode 8 of Junjo Romantica) little brother of Takahiro.

P L O T 

Their story began when Misaki Takahashi had to ask his brother's best friend, Usami Akihiko to tutor him in order for him to enter Mitsuhashi University since that was the college his brother turned down so that he could begin taking care of Misaki after their parents died. Due to some circumstances, Misaki had to live together with Usami,and that's how this two adorable couple began their love story.

Second Couple ( Junjou Egoist) :

Hiroki Kamijou- is 29 years-old and a long-time friend of Akihiko's, who is an associate professor at the college Misaki studies at. He is a bit of a loner and is extremely passionate about classical Japanese literature, apparently having graduated at the top of his class.

 Nowaki Kusama- was orphaned without a name as an infant, he was named "Nowaki" ("typhoon" in Japanese) by the head of the orphanage because he was found in a heavy rain storm. Elders call him "Wacchan". 

P L O T

One day, as Hiroki was sitting on a bench,crying his heart out, a rocket suddenly fell from the sky. Nowaki picked up the rocket he and his friends launched and there he saw Hiroki who was crying. Later on, Nowaki pestered Hiroki to tutor him on his studies and due to Nowaki's persistence,Hiroki had no choice but to agree.Days passed and these lovely couple started to realize that they love each other.But Hiroki,being a tsundere and unsure of his feelings had doubts about his feelings towards Nowaki.Fortunately,thanks to Nowaki's direct confession to Hiroki,they then made love and became a couple.Until suddenly,Nowaki disappeared without Hiroki's knowing. Hiroki felt so alone and unloved. Two years later,Hiroki got a mail that Nowaki is going back to Japan. Hiroki was angry at first and didn't want to be with Nowaki anymore but Nowaki didn't give up and continued chasing Hiroki until Hiroki confessed his feelings for Nowaki even after two years. After making up,these lovely couple decided to live together.

Third Couple ( Junjou Terrorist) :

Yo Miyagi-is 35 years old and a literature professor at Mitsuhashi University and a co-worker of Kamijo Hiroki. He was once married, but is now divorced most likely due to his indifference to feelings and emotions. His love interest is Takatsuki Shinobu, his young ex-brother-in-law. Miyagi is often playful when it comes to teasing Hiroki, though his true character is far more serious due to an event from his past.

Shinobu Takatsuki- is an 18-year-old high school student (and the son of Mitsuhashi University's dean of literature and of Miyagi's boss) who believes it to be fate that he is in love with his ex-brother-in-law, Miyagi Yo. He would very much like Miyagi to take responsibility for Shinobu falling in love with him. He is often blunt and unreasonable, though he is shown to have a softer side.

Miyagi always seems to shrug off the cares of the world with a joke and a smile, but even he has problems, although he doesn't let them show. Foremost is Shinobu, a relentless young man who's adamant that they're destined to be together.At first,Miyagi seems reluctant.But due to Shinobu's efforts,Miyagi was finally set free from his painful past and is finally able to love Shinobu MORE than anyone now.
